Just ok
We tried this restaurant twice. The first time we enjoyed it, although the seating was cramped, the food was good, service was just ok. We decided to give it another shot. My husband had the truffled mushroom risotto, but it was flavorless. I had the tuna. It was cooked very well, nice and rare on the inside and had good flavoring overall. We both had salads which were good, but did not merit the price tag. Our service was spotty. We poured our own wine, after the entree was served we waited for ANY server to come by to ask for salt and pepper, but no one showed for almost five minutes. A long time to wait when your food is quickly getting cold.

You better eat and run
This was a lovely evening with good food, until my guest and I were told that our table was needed and we must leave. We had finished our meal and were enjoying a final glass of wine. We had already paid (including a 20+% tip). We will not go back. Montclair has too many other lovely restaurants to choose from.

fell upon this bisto by accident and what a great thing it was. food wonderful, service wonderful, atmosphere very quaint. will definitely go back.
