Very good pasta's
I love the pasta, especially the Gnocchi. The margherita pizza is really good also. Only negative is they are busy all the time and service can be slow when it's full.

In a word- YUM
There's a reason why this place has high ratings... the food is just right...Pizza is out of this world!! I've had three of their pizza's (meat lovers, buffalo chicken,& bbq chicken)- the cheese steak is good- the peppers are a bit too tangy (maybe I asked them to put too many)... the lemon chicken...YUM! the fried calamari is ok...i've had better...the batter they use doesn't have flavor. All in all, I'll go there again..as a matter of fact, I'm going there tonight :)

I've been a Nauna's customer for twenty years. I always get good food and good service there. The pasta is fresh and the pizza is very good, especially the Margarita. The person below that commented on the using gloves to throw a slice in the oven is nuts. I've never seen any pizza place put on gloves to put a slice in the oven, that's just not reality. Gloves don't do anything to reduce cross contamination. The best thing any food handler can do is frequently wash their hands.

Handling food without a glove is a violation!!!
I stopped by this place this afternoon since I thought its easy to grab a bit on the go. I ordered a slice and the guy who helped me, picked up the slice using his BARE hands. Yes, I said bare, no gloves or anything. After he put the pizza in the oven, he pulled his pants up. I was beyond grossed out. I then asked another employee if thats how they do things around there and the other person said yes, they let us do that because the oven is 500 degrees so anything on "there will get killed" as per employee. Needless to say, I walked out and I am here writing this expeience. This place def violated food safety 101.

Good food, service and prices
Nauna's isn't a fancy upscale restaurant, but they definitely do what they do very well. Pasta is always very good, salads are fresh and crispy and the pizza is really good. I have been ordering there for over two decades and they rarely disappoint.

very good pasta
Nauna's has very good pastas.The gnocchi with meat sauce is really good and so is the lobster ravioli. The only complaint I have is that they are very busy on weekends so sometimes the service in the dining room can be slow on Friday or Saturday so I try to avoid those days. Nice place to go with the family as there is something for everyone.

went there recently had a great time. My gf had the lasagna and it was smothered in cheese and amazing. I had the pasta bolognese and was fairly good. Side of meatballs needed some flavor but overall very good food.

Good local eatery
Nauna's has good food and very reasonable prices. It's not Facino or Giotto for fine dining, but for good pizza, pasta and basic Italian they are the best around IMHO. Marzulo's does a decent job, Leone's not so good, but Nauna's does the best for my dollar in that class of Italian in town.

Nauna's is the best!
I've been dining at Nauna's for over ten years now and we are always very pleased with the food and the service. Last month we were thee for dinner on a Tuesday and the place was absolutely packed and while they always have customers, it was a Tuesday so I asked what was going on. The waiter told me that Nauna's was donating 10% of the days sales to a local school (I forget which one) so many of the students families came out for dinner that night. Nauna's has always been generous to local organizations which is just another reason to patronize them

Grade A from teachers!
I'm a teacher in town and we had a party for a retiring colleague at Nauna's. First off, they were very accommodating when we were booking the party as we had a lot of special requests that they graciously agreed to do for us. Secondly, the food and service was FAR superior to what I have experienced in other Italian restaurants in town that I have been to for large group functions. To top it all off the price was much less that what we were expecting to pay as they gave us a discount because we were teachers in town! Everything from booking the party to the last guest leaving was perfect and I will recommend Nauna's to anyone that is looking for an Italian restaurant for dinner or a private party. Thank you Nauna's!

it's okay not great
I've had better italian food at other places. The food was just average. I thought it would be better based on the reviews but I was disapointed. Not worth the trip to eat here. The front part of the restaurant is a pizzeria and the dining area is small. Skip this place go somewhere else.

Great Pasta
I go to all the take out place in Montclair and Nauna's has the best pasta. They give you huge portions and the prices are reasonable but the taste is what brings me back. The stuffed rigatoni and the gnocchi bolognese are my favorites

I swear they put something addictive in the sauce. The marinara sauce they have is just awesome. I go in and buy a quart of it sometimes if I want to save money. I just boil up sme pasta and use Nauna's sauce, it's really great sauce.

Nice place for causal italian. Good pizza, especially the margherita and great pasta dishes. The gnocchi bolognese is really good. The service is OK, nothing special but not bad and always friendly. My kids fight us if we try to take them anywhere else for pizza so needless to say we go there often.

One of the worst places I have ever eaten
I have never posted a review of any restaurant before but I went for dinner at this place based upon the wonderful reviews. It was horrible but I figured perhaps that was just a fluke and perhaps this might just be a really good local pizza place which would be handy to have. The pizza made my dinner look appetizing. The quality of food served at the dinner was obviously subpar and the pizza I was delivered was an odd combination of overcooked and still raw. I literally gagged when I tried to eat it and had someone else try it also to see if it was just my imagination. Never had I had such awful pizza before. I cannot emphasize enough that the positive ratings must be the owner and or staff - there is no way anyone could possibly find that food edible much less good. I feel bad posting something negative but am compelled to warn others so they can avoid what I encountered.

Very Good "red sauce" joint
Nauna's has all the usual Italian dishes you would expect and then some. Most everything I have had from there (been there probably 10-12 times) has been fresh and tasted good. I have never had delivery so I can't comment on that but the restaurant has quick service good food and low prices so it's a good choice for lunch or dinner in my book

Warm friendly atmosphere and all the basic Italian you would expect. Nothing is spectactular, but they do everything very well. Great variety, good service and reasonably prices. The salads are always very fresh

Very good Pasta
I always get pasta delivered from Nauna's and it's always hot and delicious. The gnocchi pesto special is excellent, but it's not always available. Also, the staff is always very courteous & polite.

Great pasta's and entrees, I'm not a big pizza fan in general, so I just get dinners and paninni's there and they are always fresh and delicious. I have never had anyone there be rude to me and I've been there for about 6 years now. All the staff is always friendly and accommodating.

Cold pizza and rude male answering phones. The crust is lacking and thr quality of ingredients is not reflected in the price. Villa Victoria blows this place away and so would DaVinci's if they were open late
