Good burger joint
The pasta dishes are tasty but expensive and portions are small for the price. The thing to get here is the burger. The crabcakes are not very tasty. Just get the burger. Get it with cheese and fries. Thats is.

Awesome burger!
They don't have a huge menu, but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious my "Uptown Burger" was. Everyone else in my party enjoyed their meals, too.

I was bamboozled and the food was horrible...
I had dinner at this spot for V-Day and i have to say it was horrible. The food had NOO flavor. I had a Cesar salad that was the worst I have ever had. I would say the the attentive for the most part. The over-priced prefixed menu was very misleading as well. I checked the prices online and thought it was ok for a first date; the bill came out to be $180!! I was floored because the food was horrendous; i mean it was really bad. I wouldn't mind paying $180 if the food was good but for a bad meal and decent service. This place should be shutdown on pure merit alone, the owner should be ashamed.

The food was not only bland and poorly flavored, but much of what I had was cooked improperly also. I got a lot of attitude from the service any time i gave any hint of dissatisfaction, which always makes a meal more pleasant! right? The place was tight, the people were unfriendly, and I'm a big guy who didn't finish more than half of anything he ordered. Down right dissatisfied!

OK, but nothing special
We had lunch there a few days ago. The service was very good and attentive, the waitress/hostess knowledgeable. However, my tarragon chicken was dry, my baguette was at least a day old and toasted so the fact can be hidden. And, honestly, if people miss Manhattan so much, they should go to Manhattan. I don't like pretense of any kind, especially in restaurants. But, it was a pretty cheap lunch, as lunches go, so I might go back to try the salads, as it seems that's what everybody was ordering there.

Warm, home style brunch place
Toast serves consistently good no-frills home style food with lots of choice and generally good service. The atmosphere is equally homey, but the upstairs reminds me a little of a Perkins. A good value- you'll walk away stuffed!

Cute metropolitan bistro
So it's not New York, but Uptown comes close to a bustling Upper West Side bistro. Consistently good food and hit-or-miss service. Not quiet, but plenty of seating and a cool metro atmosphere. One of our favorite brunch spots.

Poor all around
Poor service, food. Had a hair in my food, sent it back and they resent the exact same dish. Gross.
